Shopping for books?

I love to get books for Christmas. I remember when my husband and I were first married, he said he thought getting books for Christmas was a terrible idea. He is SO wrong! I think he’s changed his tune because I’ve gotten books for a few years now.

So if you are wondering what to buy for gifts, I thought I would give out a few recommendations. I was going to go with just books published in 2011, but then I changed my mind. Happy Christmas Shopping!

I always ask for books for Christmas - specific titles but also gift cards. And I give a lot of books as gifts - I usually keep a list of books I've read that I think others will enjoy. It's one of my favorite things to do. (One of the books I'm giving this year is BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP by SJ Watson - very good psychological mystery.)

I've only read two of these! I need to get busy and I need a substantial gift card. :)

I've read nothing on this list except Elegance of the Hedgehog. Thanks for the recommendations! I'm so impressed that you read so many different genres. I'm a little stuck in reading only contemporary work. Gotta branch out.

I've never read anything by Josi Kilpack. Her covers are super adorable and they make me hungry. Perhaps I should give them a go.

I loved Outliers; I haven't read the others. I need to read Across the Universe. I think I should put that on my hubby's list for my stocking.

Oh, what a great list of books. If I had more time I'd want the ones I don't already own.

This is a great list!
My husband almost always gets a Deseret Book gift card for Christmas. All that guy wants is books.

LOVED The Elegance of the Hedgehog... You are such a prolific reader - I tend to stay within one or two genre- thanks for encouraging me to broaden my horizons!

I haven't read most of them. I would add Variant in the YA dystopian/ or maybe YA sci-fi-ish category. I loved that book and read it in a day.
