My
kids are finally old enough to get something positive out of the Olympics—like hard
work, passion, and dedication. *Sigh* Or so I thought. This is what they got
instead:
11 year-old: “Water Polo makes no
sense. They should call it water soccer.”
Me (thinking): He’s right
13 year-old: “I want an Olympic tattoo.”
Hubby: “If you win a medal
you can get one.”
13 Year-old: “Okay. (pausing to
think) You know I never will.”
Hubby: “I know.”
11Year-old: (watching synchronized
diving) “Someone should do synchronized mustaches.”
Me: (Holding back my
laughter)
7 Year-old: “I wish everyone wore
more clothes.”
11 Year-old: “The hulk could beat
everyone here!”
13 Year-old: “Why aren’t video
games in the Olympics, but riding horses is?”
So,
you are welcome world. I will unleash them on you at 18 :) Have a great
weekend.

Lol, the tattoo conversation made me giggle! :D
I think I love "I wish everyone wore more clothes" the best. Too cute!
Fast thinking by your husband with the tattoo thing. And I've wondering about the clothing too. Thank goodness I didn't become a beach volleyball olympian, cause I could've never worn those bikini uniforms.
Love their comments!
That's great! Love the tattoo conversation. And your 11 year old is probably right - the Hulk could take 'em. (was my childhood hero too - lol).
I love this! I want an Olympic tattoo as well!
I laughed out loud one these. It reminds me of all the comments my kids (14, 12, 10, (2yr doesn't care) have said. Except my 14 yr old likes the "less clothes" look especially vollyball. lol
I will send your 13yr old that medal so we can go together to get that tattoo.
That tattoo one was hilarious!! :D Have a great weekend!
Haha! Great line about the tattoo. And video games should TOTALLY be a sport. Some of them are really hard!
Have a great weekend, Ang!
Water soccer definately makes more sense! Would it be called water football in other countries? Hmmm.......
There were a couple of times I watched the olypmics this year and thought: is that a guy or a girl? Not as humorous as your kids, but still something that got me.
