A NaNo Poem

NaNoWriMo ate me whole,
And spit me out onto the floor.

My brain is mush,
My thoughts are slush,
My dirty house—it makes me blush.

My sub-plots all have run amuck,
To finish I will need some luck.

I do not sleep until I’m beat,
My children do not need to eat,
But—50,000 words are sweet!

Have a great weekend :)

Been a long couple weeks, eh? If you throw crackers to your kids like a bunch of birds they'll be just fine. Even better, add a couple pieces of leftover Halloween candy.

Genius stuff Angie! It's my first year NaNoing and I'm having no problem writing (even though some of it has gotten away from me) but I stink at writing AND mothering AND cleaning AND remembering to do anything! And my kids have short days all this week and most of next week off. This is not an ideal month for me to write a whole novel. (33k and counting)

Oh. So me. I have a date with the local drug store that sells the best chocolate covered cinnamon bears and I'm pushing hard this weekend.
